THE OTHER LINE
Mixture of Different Emotions“Kibum.” The said male gulped nervously at the familiarity of the voice. If Minho is here then Jonghyun is also near. He looks up from his Dan Brown’s Angels and Demons novel, staring questioningly at the tall athlete beside his regular spot in the library, eyes falling to another boy behind Minho.
Kim Jonghyun. His bully. Not physically though. He just like to tease Kibum. A lot.
He casted his eyes down and closed his book. “What is it?” He whispered, clutching his novel unconsciously. He can feel Jonghyun’s stare on him and he’s mentally counting the seconds when will that certain brunette start his mockery.
“Can I get your number? I’ll text you about the details of our project together.” Minho said, offering his phone, reminding Kibum that he was partnered with the tall male in their Research project.
“Pfft, does the kid even have a phone to begin with?” Kibum heard Jonghyun say just as he accepted the mobile device from Minho. He knew it was just done to sort-of pissed him off but Kibum stayed quiet, quietly typing in his digits.
Minho rolled his eyes at Jonghyun, mouthing ‘coward’ to which Jonghyun glared at him.
Kibum returned the device to Minho, who bid him goodbye shortly after, dragging Jonghyun along with him before the latter could open his mouth to tease Kibum again.
It was almost nine in the evening when Minho called him.
“Hey, Kibum. Are we going to do a experimental one or just the ordinary descriptive—God, Jjong, lower the volume down or something. I’m on the phone right now.” He heard Minho say, a door being closed is heard afterwards. “Sorry, my friend’s sleeping over. I’m sorry about earlier by the way. He’s just feeling unrequited, ah I mean sick. Yes, sick.
